Lighting is an essential part of my production as it helps in the setting of the scene and help to separate the performer from the background. For most of my music video, the actor will be acting in front of a white backdrop so the lighting shine on the performer, and that they're standing out from the background. However, I don't want the lighting to be too harsh and bright as it will not look realistic. The best, professional, lighting will increase the quality of the images the viewers see and there fore improve the look of the video.Using the lighting equipment available, I decided to experiment and test with different lighting before I started my production. This is so i am aware of the specific equipment would be more suitable for my video.
This image shows my using the lighting equipment to help my understand how it works and whether or not I could use this in my music video.

During the filming stage of my music video I will only need to use the lighting during the performance stage where I will have someone walking around outside showing the story instead of lip-syncing. However during the narrative stage I will have some one inside in front of the camera singing and this is where i will need to use the lighting equipment such as the back white screen and all of the other lights.
